Posted on September 30, 2012

elementwo was in Sydney, Australia to exhibit at IMATS Syndey 2012 to mark our official launch into the Australian market with our exclusive distributors: Designer Tools Australia.

Makeup artist, Zoe Cheng (VFS graduate, and winner of the IMATS Vancouver Student Competition 2010), was on hand to perform demos at our booth during the show and created an Oriental-themed full body design. More photos of the completed creation can be seen on our Facebook page.

Big thanks to our distributors for their hospitality and hard work, and the fantastic reception from the visitors!

Ve Neill uses elementwo for The Hunger Games

Posted on September 03, 2012

Big or small, it's always great for a business to hear that their products are being used by leaders in the industry. As a relative newcomer to the market, we were thrilled to learn that Academy Award winning makeup artist Ve Neill used elementwo colors on Elizabeth Banks' character in The Hunger Games, the blockbuster film based on the novel by Suzanne Collins of the same name.

Full details of the makeup used by Ve Neill can be seen by clicking here.

IMATS LA 2012

Posted on June 25, 2012

A packed show at the Pasadena Convention Center and elementwo was there to exhibit! An incredibly talented group of artists demoed and created both FX and beauty designs at the elementwo booth, including Kazutaka "Jiro" Sakagami, Shinya Endo, Kazuyuki "Ervin" Okada, and Mari Enyart.

An amazing transformation piece by Jiro was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the show.

Airbrush Makeup, Weddings, & Proms

Posted on May 21, 2012

Airbrush makeup is already widely used in the entertainment industry - for movies, TV, fashion shoots - and now it's also becoming very popular with special events such as weddings or proms - and with good reason.

Evidently, the use of airbrush makeup for these events has been around for a while, but with more makeup artists training to use airbrush makeup, and the effects of well applied, reliable colors being seen both first-hand and captured beautifully on HD cameras, more and more people are seeing the benefits of airbrush makeup (and its becoming more accessible)!

So why is it that more people are both offering and taking up this medium? We've all heard (and used) the term "flawless finish", but here are some other traits which MUAs have mentioned make airbrush makeup the go-to choice for special events:

- Lightweight

- Transfer & Sweat Resistant

- No need for touch-ups for up to 12 hours

- More hygienic when applied on multiple people as the airbrush never touches the skin

- Even and full coverage

- HD-ready
